IT IS THE POLICY OF THE PRACTICE THAT TWO WORKING DAYS ARE REQUIRED TO ISSUE A REPEAT PRESCRIPTION. 

 

This is not to be difficult, this is to ensure your prescription is done safely.

It is the patient's responsibility to ensure their script is requested on time and that they have enough medication to last until their new script is issued.

There is a €27 charge for multiple item repeat prescriptions for private patients and €18.50 for single item prescriptions. We are now using an online prescription form. Medical card patients have their prescriptions paid for by the state. State contraception scheme patients can get their contraception prescription without payment.

Please note, the doctor may require you to visit the surgery prior to the prescription being issued e.g. for a blood pressure check / blood tests.
